Old Time Radio - Suspense

"Suspense" represents some of the best OTR from the Golden age of radio.

Here are three favorites, the first stars Vincent Price, the second stars Orson Welles and the last is adapted from a 1938 short story by Cornell Woolrich.

Suspense - 1956-11-11 - Three Skeleton Key
Suspense - 1945-09-02 - The Hitchiker - Orson Welles
Suspense - 1949-03-10 - Three O'Clock

The first one is better known as "Rats", and after listening you will understand why...

Old Time Radio - Sherlock Holmes

Another favorite is Sherlock Holmes, the best ones staring Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce, who are most widely recognized for starring roles in fourteen Sherlock Holmes movies between 1939 and 1946. Rathbone and Bruce also reprised their film roles in a radio series, The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939–1946).

Here from 1945 are three excellent episodes, complete with "Petri Wine" commercials.

Sherlock Holmes - 1945-11-05 - The Gunpowder Plot
Sherlock Holmes - 1945-05-21 - The Paradol Chamber
Sherlock Holmes - 1945-10-08 - The Vanishing Elephant
